It’s snowing today … Christmas is coming … this year will be done before we know it!
This year has been a crazy year of growth for me. I’ve been playing a lot of music, learning a ton about myself, meeting new collaborators in the music industry … I’ve been being an artist. I’ve also started working with a new mentor, he’s a very successful person in the music industry. New plans are being made to finish 2014 strong and make 2015 the biggest year yet.
I’ve really appreciated the emails and private messages on social media from people liking the music I’ve put out and asking when new stuff is coming. I definitely have a lot ready to record and still a lot ready to write about. As I continue the artist’s journey, I’m not asking what I want my next stuff to feel like, to sound like, to look like (videos). These are important things that continue to become more clear.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love quotes, here is a little clip from one of my favourite books (it’s not pretentious like it may sound) A Happy Pocket Full of Money. It says when making choices in life ask these two questions:
1. Is this the greatest version of the grandest vision I’ve ever had of myself?
2. What would love do?
That’s what I’m asking myself with all of my work now and I encourage you to ask these questions in your life. They seem to make things crystal clear. And if the old ‘ya but I can’t because…’ comes up, I’ve found those ‘ya buts’ are just illusions. So these questions help illuminate those too so you can move beyond them and do what you really love. You can do what you really came here to do.
All the best!
